The Liposarcoma Support Network (LSN) was established in September of 2024 as a program of The Life Raft Group (LRG), a patient advocacy organization, which began as an advocacy group for patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) in 2002.

In recent years, the LRG has leveraged their expertise in rare disease arena to mentor additional rare disease programs which include giant cell tumor of the bone (GCT) and tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT). Due to this experience in mentoring underserved rare disease communities, The Life Raft Group engaged with the liposarcoma community with a plan to: produce dependable, educational materials & events, address advocacy issues, implement a patient & caregiver mentor program, and create Liposarcoma Days of Learning (LDOLs).

The Liposarcoma Support Network will support patients & caregivers throughout their journey with empowerment through education, personal encouragement, and a commitment to bring the patient voice to research.

The Life Raft Group is proud to partner with and support Liposarcoma Support Network’s focus to educate, advocate, and work toward a cure for liposarcoma.
